HighEdWebDev 2004: e-Merging Visions

2004 HighEdWebDev Conference

The fifth annual HighEdWedDev conference represents the merging of two organizations dedicated to promoting the design and development of Web-based systems in higher education. The Higher Education Web Professionals Association (HighEdWeb, since 1999) is proud to continue the tradition of WebdevShare (since 1996) into the future. This represents thirteen conferences of experience between the two organizations. We see the merging of these two existing organizations as a synergetic step forward for both groups.

It is in that spirit that we announce the 2004 HighEdWebDev Conference. With a focus on "eMerging Visions," the conference strives to present the best of both the national WebdevShare and the regional HighEdWeb conferences as a collective and exciting vision for the future of Web development in higher education.

The Rochester Institute of Technology will host the new conference. Known as the "World's Imaging Center," Rochester, New York, is home to many great cultural attractions, including the George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film, and the Memorial Art Gallery. And at this time of year, the fall foliage in upstate New York is among the most beautiful in the country.

You will find conference sessions in a variety of tracks, plus pre- and post-conference workshops, new product demos from our corporate sponsors, and ample networking opportunities with your fellow Web professionals form universities, colleges, and community colleges around the country.
